I was reading a story on al.com about a UAB archaeology professor starting a Facebook group called Restore + Save the Egyptian Museum. It's completely screwed up that priceless artifacts are at such risk...

I was checking out some nuclear related reading material and ran across another one of those "classic" movies (also available at http://www.archive.org/). I was going to embed it here, but you can see it at the post on the Atomic Insights blog. By the way, the movie is called "A Is For Atom"...

So, what's up with Egypt you ask...

I know a few things, but I certainly don't know all the roots behind the unrest. I don't think I'm alone. Here are some decent sources:

Wikipedia - 2011 Egyptian protests

Al Jazeera's English language coverage of the Egypt situation

Discussion on Democracy Now

A recently updated CRS report concerning Egypt and the current situation

So, what has the NRC posted dealing with Browns Ferry since the last time I brought that up? Just one thing. And, for the life of me, I can't figure out why this document was associated with us. Anyway, here it is:

NRC Generic Letter 1997-005: Steam Generator Tube Inspection Techniques.
